From her music to her arrests to her cameo on SCTV and Reform School
Girls, Wendy O. defined rebellion for the sake of rebellion and
not fashion. Her too brief life is a milestone not only in music
history but in self expression of all artists today. Nobody did it better.

In my view Wendy O. Williams is the most awesome rock and roller
(and really artist/performer) that ever lived. She was daring,
trend-setting, and true without compromise in challenging the complacency
of the status quo. To say that we miss her presence in the world
is an understatement, but she was so cutting edge and ahead of her
time that she lives in her work to inspire us all today. No one
today comes close to touching Wendy. She did and still does rule
completely. Despite all the huge obits in all the national mags
etc. (she was an icon), she is still not given anywhere the full
credit that she deserves. In an age of posers and wannabes, she
was a real revolutionary, or, to use Rod Swenson's words from SPIN,

(the rest was lost in the tenzero crash)

<BR>i got dressed,and watched my lovers'bare back facing me,while she snuggled the wall,Hearing Brain Dead,i felt deep remorse,i thought about Wendy,I was so mad she did it,and mad because i wasn't there,why,because she built a shrine to everything i loved
<BR>but i hadn't actually known her,so i felt like an ass-hole,like those pseudo punks at malls,spoiledfucking brats living at home,so they can afford the latest fad clothes,all with Alanis-Tori -Greenday stickers on their windows,most of them don't even know who wendy was
<BR>but they still emulate her style,Lydia said she hated computers,and i agree,they take away personal intellect,but this web-site must live on,so even those who did not get the point behind d'fest and baddest will,my WENDY,was not enough,THIS IS RAW,but she was more!
