i live in israel and back at the early 80's it was virtually impossible to get good music here. i found out about plasmatics by bits and pieces - a photo, a small article. then one day in 8th grade summer i found the first lp "new hope" - the original pressing with the snot-colored vinyl!- it was the first time a band in reality looked like the ones i drew in my notebook - the music was even better. a true punk utopia. i still listen to the records today and consider them classics. after wendy's suicide, i wrote a big tribute article about her in a israeli art magazine. i will gladly send it to whoever reads hebrew...

The Plasmatics were mind blowing! I remember seeing them on tv tons of times (SCTV with The Fishin' Musician was the best). Before I heard the Sex Pistols I heard Plasmatics. I loved them then, I love them now! Bye Wendy.
